The Off Grid Project started out as a live in experiment about getting off the grid on a budget. Since then, back in 2012, it has evolved into a daily vlog of my life, sort of an off grid reality show. I started out full time when I lost my job and apartment and moved into a camper during a blizzard. I barely had any light or heat. I started making daily videos and never looked back on the rat race. Now I am married and living on an 18 acre homestead with my wife Melanie. We are striving to become self sufficient and fully off the grid on a budget. We hunt, fish, raise chickens and grow our own vegetables for food. We have solar panels, wind turbines and alternate energy devices. Follow along on our daily path as we strive to become self sufficient and provide all our own needs.
